It’s a question I get asked often and it’s funny that the Koreans nod knowingly and feel that I am lucky while Canadians ask “and are you okay with that?”
We are almost a weekend couple. He works outside of Seoul and it takes (depending on traffic) about 90 minutes one way to get home. We choose to live at this location due to convenience and comfort for me. Consequently we, sometimes, only see one another on weekends. On a good week I will see him twice between M-F.
Am I okay with this?
I don’t know. That’s just how it has to be for our careers.
